Incense and colors for decorating the body, lined up in rainbow array. Nice men; overchanged us anyway.

OooooOOoo! Beautiful vivid colors . . .what is that? Dye? Colored henna? Extremely colorful food?

They are powdered tempras, it seems. The stall vendors put a bit of powder into a small clay mortar and added a bit less water, pushed it around with a stick to mix it, then painted Manny's hand with blue. Similar to a third-eye that might be painted on the forehead, these can be used to decorate the body. (When...? I guess during festivals).

Anyway, the majority of the color came away from his hand when washed... but there was a good blue mark for a couple of days. Words to the wise!
